MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. He has made major global inroads into the Latin popular music scene. In 2017 his hit track from 2016, Una Lady Como Tu won the Colombian Kids Choice Award Favorite Song. His debut album was a long-player ADN with the Sony-owned company based in Medellin, La Industria Inc. In the Top Latin Albums chart ranked it at number 8. In the following year, he joined forces with Ozuna for the creation of Vaina Loca which climbed to the top of five on the chart of Top Latin Albums. Mala Influencia, made available in 2020 by Noriel and her Dopamina album that year. The year 2021 was the first time he was in a duet with TINI for her hit stream single Maldita Foto. The smash hit La Bachata from 2000 was made available in 2023. Turizo was brought up in a music-oriented environment because both his mother and younger brother are musicians. According to him, music was a mandatory aspect of his daily life. He began playing guitar, saxophone the ukulele and piano when he was when he was a child. Although he initially wanted to become a veterinarian, Julian convinced him that having lessons from a Cuban singing teacher would change the direction of his career.
